Full Biography
Almost Dublin are an experienced, well-established and professional band who’ll provide lively Irish music for your special event. They are one of, if not 'the' most popular and busiest Irish tribute bands in the UK playing up and down the country at private events and racecourses. Despite none of the members of the group being from Ireland, they have performed at some of the biggest and most prestigious events, not just in the UK, but all over the world!
They have been welcomed as a true Irish tribute act purely through their clear love and passion for performing that genre of music. Almost Dublin has performed in Dubai, Benidorm, Greece, and Germany and in 2010 they competed in the international Irish band competition in Las Vegas coming 3rd out of 38 acts!
A professional and compact 4 piece, the band have been touring the UK and Europe for the last 15 years having played at thousands of events and won countless awards.
Known for their fun and celebratory feel, Almost Dublin’s live sets feature a selection of live instruments plus pre-recorded drums to give a full sound without taking up too much space! If you're having a Wedding, Birthday party, Anniversary bash, Funeral Wake or your taste in music lies on the lively side of Irish, then this is the group for you!
Performing 2 x 45 minutes sets as standard (with the option to upgrade to 3 x 40 minutes), Almost Dublin will deliver all the classics including Galway Girl, Whiskey In The Jar, Wild Rover and many more iconic tunes from bands like The Pogues, The Dubliners and Flogging Molly to name a few!
The band can provide very light celtic themed background music only at low volume when not playing live.
